It's important to change your grips often. If you have worn grips, you are going to be choking the club, and that is going lead to swing problems.
Harvey Penick (the author of the Little Red Book) said you should hold a golf club like a baby bird -- firm enough to keep the bird from flying away, but light enough to not hurt the bird. If you have worn grips, all I can say is: poor, poor Tweety.
I haven't seen these Avon Chamois grips in a long time. The last time I saw them, I was stripping them off of some very old golf clubs. I'm not a big fan of them as they are a cheap grip. They are very poor quality and feel like rubber.
If you are going to re-grip your clubs, you should at least invest in a quality grip. Take a look at the Winn Excel Oversize Black Grip. This is one of the most popular grips in the game and for good reason. They have a wonderful soft feel and are very light and durable.
C'mon folks, take care of those grips. If not for you, do it for Tweety.
