Not so long ago, if you were a woman looking for a pair of golf shoes, your choices were pretty thin and usually involved a "kiltie" on the front of the shoe. Not so these days. Today, it's possible to find everything from traditional saddle shoes, ...
Women's / Ladies Golf Shoes | Lady Shoe Reviews
Do you remember when shoes were so hard and uncomfortable? Usually they included nice big flaps that covered the laces and sharp spikes that were cool-sounding on the asphalt but super uncomfortable to wear. The only difference between the men’s really uncomfortable and ugly shoes and the women’s uncomfortable and ugly shoes was color.
Thank Heaven For Change
Screw-in spikes became a thing of the past. Manufacturers in the ’90s went to soft spikes and more of a “turf-friendly” design for the bottoms of the shoes. They were more comfortable to wear and less damaging to greens. In addition, the design became more and more like a true athletic shoe. Once this happened, the design teams at the different manufacturers really unleashed some cool concepts.
The Similarities
Men and women alike began enjoying shoes that looked like the court or street counterparts and looked sharp, while still remaining functional on the course. There were almost no differences between a men’s and women’s shoe other than the obvious size difference. A good example of this are the Adidas Beacon Golf Shoe. Sleek, clean, and simple — but durable and more comfortable than the old leather loafer styles.
The Differences
Stand back, Jack. There are some serious differences nowadays, and the ladies are getting some seriously “girlie” designs. From the cutest colors to spikes that look more like flowers, the femininity is flagrant. You can just see that favorite lady golfer in your life slip on the Dawgs Spirit Lady Golf Shoes that are like a clog/Croc hybrid. These are supposed to be super comfy and antimicrobial to prevent odor (even though ladies claim their feet don’t smell).
Waterproof? Yes, Please
One of the greatest innovations in the past decades of golf shoe design has been the invention of materials that keep the water out. From Footjoy to Ecco and Sandbagger to Callaway, shoes for both men and women are getting super water-resistant. This way, there are fewer excuses to get your favorite lady golfer to stay with you for the entire 18 holes, even when it is a little damp.
Even Sandals?
That’s right, boys. While this hasn’t caught on too much for the men, there are several styles of golf sandals that the ladies seem to really like. Don’t get me wrong, men enjoy them too — but their friends might give them some guff. Not so with the ladies. So girls, wear your Ladies FootJoy Golf Sandals with pride.
No matter what style you choose, we can all be thankful that shoes are forming to us instead of how we used to have to form to the shoes.

Adidas Climacool Tradewinds Shoe, Blue

My grandpappy always said, "You get what you pay for." Grandpappy had a knack for stating the obvious. (He was also fond of saying, "You kids get off of my lawn!" and "Does anybody else hear that buzzing?")
