This Jim McLean guys seems to know a little bit about the golf swing. This book, "The Eight Step Swing," is something he came up with and has been teaching for many years. Jim has golf schools all over the country and is one of the most renowned golf teachers of our time.
In this book, Jim takes us through the eight steps in building a good golf swing. Each step is covered in detail, accentuating the keys and outlining the pitfalls. He discusses a lot of misconceptions and really hones in on the solid fundamentals.
Jim recommends breaking these steps into two four-step processes, learning steps 2, 4, 6, and 8 first.
My favorite is the chapter on "Death Moves," where he corrects extreme swing errors that will derail your golf swing.
The only place where this book could use some improvements is in the illustrations. It could use more and better quality pictures when describing some of the drills.
