This is one of my favorite golf courses in Colorado. It's an extremely well-maintained golf course that will give you the feel of playing a private country club.
I would call this a target golf course, as accuracy with your tee shots and approach shots are primary. There are not a lot of places to bail-out on most holes, and in the middle of the season, the rough is a beast. The back nine is tougher than the front with a lot of elevation changes and sloped fairways. It's very rare to have a flat level lie anywhere on the back nine.
Every time I've played it (which is too many to count), the greens are well manicured and roll fast and true. You should show up extra early to the practice green to get a good feel because when they are running lightning-quick, it's a challenge not to three-putt.
If this challenging course doesn't sound like fun, head down the street to Hyland Hills. This is a huge golf facility with an 18-hole regulation course (The Gold Course), a 9 hole regulation course (The Blue Course), and two par 3 courses (The North and The South).
