At the writing of this blog, the 2011 Masters just came to a close, and Tiger didn't win (again). He sure put on a heck of a Sunday charge, though. He shot 31 on the front nine and peppered the pins on the back nine. Unfortunately, he's going through a putting slump like one he's never experience in his illustrious career. Have you ever noticed that when Tiger is in a slump, he still finishes in the top ten of almost every tournament he enters? Tiger's slumps are every other PGA Tour pro's dream.
South African Charl Schwartzel won by two strokes after birdying the last five holes. (He's not going through any slump.) He did it while dodging great runs by several different guys like seasoned major winners Geoff Ogilvy and Angel Cabrera, and a bunch of budding kids like Jason Day, Adam Scott, and Luke Donald.
Seems like green is the color to wear in April -- that is, if you are a golf geek like me. Here's a cool shirt with the Masters logo on the breast pocket. It's the closest thing you are going to get to the jacket -- you can't buy those on Amazon quite yet. The only way you are going to get one of those is practice, practice, practice.
